RAIT 2024 REGULATIONS

Art. 1

TUNIS AEROCLUB (ACT), under the aegis of TUNISIAN SPORTS FEDERATION OF AIR (FTSA) organizes the 35th INTERNATIONAL AIR RALLY IN TUNISIA (35th RAIT), from Saturday May 11st to Sunday May 19th 2024.

Art. 2

The organizers and those who support the promotion and monitoring of the 35è RAIT act on behalf of the organizer.

Art. 3

Participation is allowed for all pilots in possession of a valid license for the duration of the 35è RAIT and aircrafts with a valid certificate of airworthiness and all the necessary insurances.

Art. 4

The aircrafts whose weight exceeds 6000 kg, and appliances without VHF or Transponder cannot participate in the 35è RAIT.

Art. 5

The organiser reserves the right to refuse any entry which it deems to be detrimental to the smooth running of the 35 th RAIT, without being obliged to justify its decision.

Art. 6

Registration of participants will be confirmed by the organizer after receiving the full amount of participation on April 11, 2024 at the latest.

Art. 7

After the closing date, the organizer will send to the participants the necessary documentation to fly in Tunisia. In any event, the organizer will not be liable for any documentation that is not up to date. The competitor is responsible for consulting NOTAMS by himself.

Art. 8

The contribution includes :

- Double room full board accommodation in high category hotels. Only half- board provided on flying days. (see program).

-Aeronautical documentation for Tunisia (maps VFR flight, airfields maps, navigation maps);

- Refueling (avgas 100LL), payable in cash (euro or dinars) at each stage. (This fuel is supplied by the Tunisian Army);

- Technical assistance during the rally by 2 mechanics (excluding spare parts);

- Security service at each stage: SAR helicopter during the rally;

- All transfers airport-hotels for the duration of the 35è RAIT according to the program established;

- Any other touristic services provided in the program;

- Authorizations for flyover and landing, during the 35è RAIT

- Flight plans for the duration of 35è RAIT;

-The cost of drinks, telephone, etc. are not included and must be paid on the spot by participants before leaving the hotels.

Art. 9

The official language of the 35è RAIT is French. The organizer will do his best for translations in other languages (English, German) during briefings.

Art. 10

Times are expressed in LT for ground events, and UTC for all flights. Official time of the 35è RAIT is the GPS clock

Art. 11

The organizer reserves the right to modify or cancel all or part of the program and route based on external events or situation beyond its control, which would be imposed.

Art. 12

In case of cancellation of the 35è RAIT by the organizer before its start, it will reimburse the full amounts paid.

Art. 13

In case of cancellation by the participant:

cancellation before April 11st, 2024: 50% refund of the amount of participation.

Cancellation after April 11st, 2024: no refund, because of financial commitments it has made with the different service providers.

Art. 14

Each participant must bring equipment for mooring and protecting its aircraft.

Art. 15

It is for each participant individually to endorse any insurance that may be required (cancellation, repatriation, etc..), The organizer is not able to purchase such insurance.

Art. 16

The organizer and collaborators will not have liability for injury or damage caused by the participants to themselves, their passengers on their planes or third parties. The participants are also responsible for non-observance of legal regulations, instructions and others.
